The Beach Blanket Film Festival accepts feature films, shorts, and student films for submission. We have showcased Canadian films for 14 years and would love to present yours. We accept submissions on DVD and VHS.

The deadline for feature film submissionis April 30th. For shorts and student films, submission deadline is June 30th. Thanks to everyone who submitted their films this year. Hope to see you all at the festival.

The 15th Annual Beach Blanket Film Festival will run from Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20, 2008 against the backdrop of the beautiful Okanagan Valley - festival attendees will trade in theatre seating to curl up on their beach blankets and enjoy the Canadian films screening over the three night event.

The Penticton festival "was born out of a selfish desire to see more Canadian films, a desire to give Canadian filmmakers a much needed venue, and a vision to do all of this in a beautiful, slightly surreal setting," says festival founder Nikos Theodosakis.

Penticton is a popular summer vacation destination, located at the southern tip of Lake Okanagan. Offering cool relief from the warmth of the summer sun, the unique desert landscape and lakes attract visitors from around the world for a wide range of activities including sporting activities and touring award-winning wineries.
