How long has the festival been operating?
This is our 16th year. The first festival was held in 1994.

What type of films are featured?
We showcase Canadian films:                         

Friday Night – General/Family type film                 
Saturday Night:  Quirky/fun/comedy             
Sunday Night:  Serious drama/epic/weighty
As well as 2-3 short films per night by local filmmakers, students and animators

What time does it start?
Gates open for seating at 8:00pm

Pre show entertainment from 9:00 – 9:30 (In past years we have had: Belly dancing, mariachi band, East Indian dancers, jugglers and storytellers)

Short program begins at 9:30 pm
The feature film begins at 10:00 pm

Where does it take place?
The location is outdoors on the beach in Okanagan Lake Park on the east side of the Penticton Lakeside Resort on West Lakeshore Drive

What happens if it rains?
The show must go on… (bring an umbrella)

This years' films are still being voted on. As soon as the decisions have been made, the information will be posted here.

How much do they cost?
$10.00 for a single screening
$25.00 for a 3 day pass
$35.00 for a single evening family pass (2 adults, 2 children)

Do you have food for sale?
Popcorn, Candy, and beverages, including pop and bottled water.
Also, we will feature coffee from Fibonacci Roastery & Cafe and souvlaki from Theo's

What should I bring?
Bring your beach blanket, lawn chair and warm clothing.

If we boat down to Penticton can we anchor/moor our boat close to
the beach where the films are shown? If yes, who do we contact about moorage?
The Penticton Lakeside Hotel has moorage at no cost for Hotel Guests and patrons of the hotel's restaurant. You must register your boat at the Front Desk of the Hotel. 250.493.8221
